Weatherstrip for a motor vehicle sliding window. It comprises an internal part (1) and an external part (2) of which the elements facing each other define between them a groove intended to trap the peripheral edge of the window (3) in a sealed manner. It furthermore comprises a skeleton (4) which is at least partially removable, for stiffening the internal part (1) and external part (2), which parts include profiles which can vary continuously along the strip, thus defining, at predetermined locations, elements facing each other (110, 21) of which at least the visible surfaces are widened relative to the rest of the strip and of which the internal faces, in contact with the window (3), are provided with sliding zones. <IMAGE>
