PURPOSE:To reduce the total height of an optical pickup and also to increase the effective size of a printed board. CONSTITUTION:A printed board 21 is attached to a semiconductor laser 1 where a diffraction grating 2 is attached. The board 21 is tapered toward the outside from its center so that the external shape of the board 21 is set parallel to a pickup main body 8 in the highest revolving speed of the board 21 caused by correction of the secondary beam. Therefore the board 21 never gets over the main body 8 even when the laser 1 is revolved together with the grating 2 for correction of the secondary beam. Furthermore, the effective size of the board 21 is increased. |
