<p>PURPOSE:To eliminate bad effect of Pb-oxide gas produced when a low melting point glass is melted and to keep safely sealed the parts which is affected by high temperatures by providing a layer of a low melting point glass over the peripheral surface of the glass layer of a stem. CONSTITUTION:When a parts, consisting of a disk 1 of an ordinary sealing glass, a disk 2 of a low melting point glass and metallic lead wires 3, is heated to the softening points of the low melting point glass, the low melting point glass is fused to the disk 1 and the lead wires 3 are fastened to the stem, then a parts 6 to be sealed in is fitted to the assembled stem. This assembly is joined with a sealing case 5 and the stem is heated in a vacuum or in a specific ambient condition. The low melting point glass melts selectively and serves as an adhesive for sealing the sealing case 5. Fusion of the disks 1 and 2 and sealing of the lead wires to the stem are completed at the same time.</p> |
