摘要 <p>PURPOSE: To measure the distance and speed of a plurality of targets present within a detecting range at the same time by spectrally analyzing the intermediate frequency signal generated by mixing a received signal with a transmitted signal, and performing a calculation by use of a plurality of equations. CONSTITUTION: Between a plurality of time phases of a fixed frequency, the frequency is changed in lamp shape (inclined shape). Received signals (b), (c) are mixed with a simultaneously transmitted signal (a). Therefore, the frequency difference is shown as the frequency in intermediate frequency band, and can be, for example, spectrally analyzed. The respective reflective targets to measuring times T1-T4 and the regulated received signals (b), (c) are shown as maximum values, respectively. The frequency position of the maximum value depends on its distance and relative speed. Two equations having two unknown numbers are used every target, whereby the distance and speed can be calculated. The gradient of the lamp has an influence on the resolution, and both the speed and the distance can be determined with a satisfactory resolution by alternating the lamp gradient.</p>
