The invention relates to a mechanism enabling windbreak nets or sunscreening industrial curtains of very large dimensions to be fixed without being cut beforehand and ensuring straightforward opening and closing operations. It consists of a load means (1) which ensures that the curtain 5 is taut, this curtain being wound on itself by an operating means 2 secured to a slide 3 which runs on a main track 4. The main track 4 and the intermediate guides 7 are fixed in a plane identical to the one in which it is desired to operate the curtain, which is generally close to the vertical.
