PURPOSE: To provide an optical mutual connection device capable of easily connecting an existing circuit pack and a photocoupler in an optical communication system. CONSTITUTION: A mutual connection panel 104 to which the photocoupler 201 is fixed is inserted between the adjacent layers of an optical circuit. By the surface plate of the photocoupler 201, an optical fiber 404 connected to an element on the adjacent layer of the optical circuit and the optical fiber 402 connected to the element of the other adjacent layer are directly connected. The photocoupler 201 within the respective surface plates is a standard photocoupler on the market and the coupler joins the optical fibers with each other by single low-loss connection. Further, since the connectors can easily connect and disconnect the optical fibers, the reconstitution of the connection between the existing layers is facilitated. |
