PURPOSE:To switch over an abnormality code in accordance with the kind of machine, to display it on a display part and to facilitate maintenance and inspection by storing the abnormality code used at present and the abnormality code used in the past so that they may correspond to each other. CONSTITUTION:Copying operation is performed by executing a program in a ROM 5 by a CPU 1, and abnormality is judged by checking the state of a sensor 7. In the case of abnormality, the abnormality code in the ROM 5 is displayed on the magnification display part 93 of a control panel 9 and the copying operation is stopped and inhibited. The abnormality code at present and the abnormality code in the past are stored in the ROM 5. By simultaneously depressing '0' and '2' of an interruption key 96, a cancel key 95, and a replacing key 97, the abnormality code at present is displayed.
