PURPOSE:To provide a picture processor capable of reduction of the memory capacity and high-speed processing. CONSTITUTION:This picture processor is provided with an H band polygon side pair picking device 31H which divides the screen picture into three hierarchies in the scan line direction and picks a polygon side pair extended to the H area of the highest hierarchy and calculates pairs of sides pairing on the scan line based on polygon side information, an M band polygon side pair selecting device 31M which discriminates whether the picked side pair is extended on the M area of the intermediate hierarchy or not and transfers the side pair extended to this area to the L area of the lower hierarchy, an L band polygon side pair selecting device 31L which discriminates whether the side pair is extended to the L area or not and transfers parameters required for perpendicular interpolation from a polygon side pair memory 32 with respect to the side pair extended to this area, and a perpendicular interpolating operation device which calculates the inclination of a polygon side based on this data and calculates the right intersection and the left intersection on the scan line by interpolation. |
