PURPOSE:To facilitate investigation of the cause of fault by a constitution wherein a central unit detects fault on a transmission system and records transmission fault information. CONSTITUTION:Each terminal is requested for transmission of information through a transmission line on the central unit 1 side, and a transmission fault detecting section 16 constantly monitors whether or not each terminal responds normally to the request based on input information received from an I/O interface 8. When an abnormality or a fault is detected fault information, e.g. occurring time, recovery time, content of fault, etc., is stored in a transmission fault recording file 17. The content of transmission fault includes response time-out error, transmission protocol error, transmission data error, etc. This system facilitates investigation of the cause of fault. |
