PURPOSE:To provide a current collecting electrode for a zinc-bromine cell which prevents the current collecting electrode from warping due to thermal stresses and external force, and concurrently increases the mechanical strength of the current collecting electrode itself. CONSTITUTION:The cell is made up of a current collector contained carbon plastic electrode 30 where carbon plastics are laminated in a sandwich shape so as to be firmly fixed over both the surfaces of the current collector to which collector leads 21 with bolts 22 are internally attached, and of an insulating electrode frame body 40 which includes in the surface at one side an electrode housing recessed section 26 capable of housing the plastic electrode 30, and has nut engaging holes 27 formed over the bottom surface. The aforesaid carbon plastic electrode 30 containing the current collector is fitted in the recessed section 26 of the electrode frame body 40 via seal members, so that the carbon plastic electrode 30 and the electrode frame body 40 are mutually sealed together so as to be watertight by means of threaded fixation using the bolts 22 and nuts 32. |
