PURPOSE:To provide a system where the routing according to the state of a backup route is enabled by waiting for the connection of the backup route in a data communication system, regarding a backup route connection standby routing system. CONSTITUTION:The node of a packet transmission system is provided with a route selection processing part 5 composed of a route selection part 5a selecting the route of a received packet, a queue connection part 5b storing the packet in a queue temporarily and a queue take-out part 5c taking out the packet and transmitting a selected route, a route state control part 6 and a route connection processing part 7 connecting backup routes. The route state control part 6 sets a monitoring timer, controls whether or not an open completion signal is transmitted from the route connection processing part 7 within prescribed time, outputs a time-out signal to the route selection processing part 5 if the open completion signal does not exist within the prescribed time and instructs the previous node to perform the pushing back processing of the packet. |
