<p>PURPOSE:To provide the magnetic toner which can form images having high image quality in a feed development method, etc., using the magnetic toner of small grain size and is improved in the surface characteristics and flow property of toner particles. CONSTITUTION:A binder resin consists of a mixture of a nonlinear polyester resin of >=20wt.% of the binder resin and a styrene-acryl copolymer of <=80wt.% of the binder resin. The magnetic toner is prepd. by mixing at least this binder resin and magnetic powder by a dry process, then subjecting the mixture to kneading under heating, then to pulverizing and classifying after solidifying by cooling. On the other hand, the silica which is obtd. by dropping an n-hexane soln. of hexamethyl disilazane under stirring with silica and further, storing the soln., then drying the soln. and subjecting to a treatment to be hydrophobic, is added at 0.1 to 2.0 pts.wt. to 100 pts.wt. magnetic toner.</p> |
