PURPOSE:To make it accurate to detect the rotation position of a rotor and to improve assembly property by enabling a stator and a position sensor to be positioned accurately and simply. CONSTITUTION:A stator 31 with a plurality of fixed poles 44 in the inner periphery is provided. A rotor 32 with a plurality of mobile poles 57 in the outer periphery is provided rotatably inside the stator 31. The one end side of the stator 31 is mounted with a nonmagnetic supporter 81 with a plurality of legs 91 inserted and retained between the fixed poles 44. The supporter 81 is provided with a magnetosensitive position sensor 102 at a position counter to the moving pole 57 of the rotor 32. Inserting a leg 91 of the supporter 81 between fixed poles 44 of the stator 31 makes possible an accurate determination of the position relation between the stator 31 and the position sensor 102. This dispenses with the adjustment of mounting positions and improves assembly property. A rotation position of the rotor 32 with regard to the stator 31 is detected accurately, so that switching of excitation phases of a coil 42 can be made with accurate timings. |
