ELECTRONIC MAIL DRIVING TYPE JOB RECEPTION INFORMING METHOD

PURPOSE:To obtain the means of knowing whether the execution request of a job requested from an electronic mail terminal is merely received or not by returning the job execution request mail received from a job control terminal back to the electronic mail terminal. CONSTITUTION:The job control terminal 2 directly communicating with a host computer 1 and an electronic mail server 4 are separately arranged. Connection between the job control terminal 2 and the electronic mail server 4 and connection between the electronic mail server and the electronic mail terminal 3 may be executed by utilizing either LAN or a public line. A user using the electronic mail terminal 3 transmits from the electronic mail terminal 3 to the electronic mail server 4 which is directly connected to the former by describing matters necessary for job execution in a previously prepared application form. The electronic mail server 4 transmits the job execution request received from the electronic mail terminal 3 to the job control terminal 2. The job control terminal 2 answers the reception of the job execution request mail to the electronic mail server 3.
