PURPOSE:To obtain a reliable electric double layer capacitor which uses solid active carbon for polarizing electrode and which allows the efficient impegnation of electrolyte and the complete discharge of internal gasses. CONSTITUTION:Nine through holes 4 of 1mm or more in dia. are formed in a polarizing electrode 1 so that the reduction of capacitance is 10% or less. This makes it possible to efficiently infusing electrolyte and completely remove internal gasses, and thereby prevents the increase in internal pressure due to produced gasses and accidents, such as liquid leakage, arising therefrom. |
