<p>This invention provides a method of removing benzene from gasoline blending stocks. A mixed hydrocarbon feed is distilled to separate benzene and non-aromatic components from non-benzene aromatic components. The benzene is then separated from the non-aromatic components by an absorber. The non-aromatic components and optionally the non-benzene aromatic components may be blended into motor gasoline. Separated benzene may be recycled to the absorber to keep benzene concentration in a desired range.</p> |
