Illustrated and described is a saw stand for working plate-shaped workpieces (1), having a framework (2) for holding the workpiece on a receiving plane (4) inclined slightly with respect to the vertical, having a guide frame (6) extending parallel to the receiving plane in the vertical direction and having a tool slide (8) which is displaceable along the guide frame and is equipped with a mounting plate (9) possessing a fastening device for a circular saw and a slot-shaped opening (10) for the circular-saw blade (11). To increase the possibilities of use of the saw stand, provision is made for the mounting plate (9) to be equipped with fastening devices (14, 15) for the optional clamping-on of various hand-held working apparatuses or guide stands (20) for hand-held working apparatuses, such as portable circular saws, drilling machines, milling machines, jigsaws or angle grinders, and having at least one further opening (12) for the tools (13) of the various hand-held working apparatuses. <IMAGE>
