<p>A molding apparatus for plastic objects which includes a valve (71) which allows ejector pins (22) to be positioned in close proximity to the valve needle (64). The valve (71) includes a valve body (61) and a flange (75) surrounding at least a portion of the valve body (61) such that the outer edges of the valve body (61) and/or the flange (75) may have slots (68) which extend lengthwise from the top (72) to the bottom (73) of the valve. Depressed portions (69) in the side portions (79) of the flange (75) and corresponding outer edges of the valve body (61) may also extend through the length of the valve (71). The slots (68) and depressed portions (69) may be utilized for positioning ejector pins (22) in close proximity to the valve needle.</p> |
