In a solenoid valve which has an armature which is linearly movable in an armature space which is sealed off by a rubber diaphragm, provided with a central passage, and is preferably filled with oil, a valve seat which as viewed from the armature space is located on the other side of the rubber diaphragm, and a separate closing body by means of which the valve seat can be acted upon by a force variable via the magnet, the closing body is to be satisfactorily guided and have a small overall length. This is achieved by the closing body being pressed in a sealing manner into the central passage of the rubber diaphragm and being guided solely by the rubber diaphragm.
