BALLOON FOREST FERTILIZATION

A process for applying particles to a geographic region. The process involves flying a balloon (3) over the region. The balloon (3) carries a nozzle (4) with a hose (2) communicating the nozzle (4) with a ground supply of air (12) and a source of particles (20). A mixture of air and particles can be forced up the hose (2) to the nozzle (4). The particles are then discharged over the region according to a pre-determined pattern. The process permits the accurate measured application of fertilizers and the like to a region.
