A device enabling the auditory meatus to be plugged more effectively than with existing commercially available methods. The device consists of three components, i.e. A) a malleable silicone-type basic material with a putty-like consistency, B) a pasty, creamy or liquid catalyst, and C) a sound-absorbing filler. The basic material and the catalyst are mixed in advance with the filler consisting of hollow glass beads or other sound-absorbing materials. After kneading, the three components are inserted into the auditory meatus where they polymerize and form an accurate mould of said auditory meatus. Said device is particularly suitable for plugging an auditory meatus. |
