Transmitting and receiving antenna for identification systems, the receiving antenna not being directly magnetically coupled to the transmitting antenna, use being made of the effect that the direction of the magnetic flow of the transmitting coil in the area of the coil within the coil differs significantly from the flow outside the coil. The receiving antenna is designed so that no net magnetic flux from the transmitting coil is included.
