The stainless slab, which is composed of (in wt.%) 0.020-0.035% C, below 1.0% Si, below 1.0% Mn, below 0.04% P, 0.005-0.015% S, 12.0-15.0% Cr, below 0.025% N, 0.6-1.4% Ni, balance Fe and inevitable impurities, is hot-rolled, acid-cleaned, cold-rolled, and annealed at AC1-AC1 + 100 deg.C for 5 minutes. The stainless steel has a lower Ni content, excellent corrosion resistance and high strength at welding zone.
