Combinations of active substances consist of a combination of at least one substance selected from the group constituted by 2,4-O-furfurylidene sorbitol and its alkyl ethers with at least one substance selected from the group of the tocopherols and tocopheryl esters. Also disclosed are cosmetic and dermatological sunscreening compositions containing such combinations of active substances.
