The invention concerns an efficient method of producing a filled packaging container having a plurality of flexible lengths of extruded tube (2, 2') and breast portions (3, 3') which are joined together. The method comprises the further steps of attaching one end of the flexible tube (2, 2') to a respective hollow breast portion (3, 3') and then securing the breast portions (3, 3') together. As a next step the tubes are filled and the open ends of the tubes are heated internally prior to the plurality of tube ends being clamped together and thus sealed. The resulting package of the invention is cheap to manufacture and has a large open end through which to fill due to the use of flexible extruded tube. |
