A lighting strip is disclosed which has a pair of power supply lines (12, 14) extending along the strip, and at least one lighting device (16) connected between the power supply lines (12, 14), and includes a power control device (18, 22) for controlling the electrical power supplied to the at least one lighting device. The use of a power control device enables the power supplied to the lighting device(s) in each strip to be individually controlled i.e. even if the voltage between the power rails (or the available current) drops below the normal level, the power control device can be arranged to ensure that the power supplied to the lighting devices remains sufficient. This can help prevent any drop in illumination provided by the lighting devices. <IMAGE> |
