PURPOSE:To obtain an engine having simple construction without an ordinary crankshaft, by providing a piston to reciprocate to rotate freely. CONSTITUTION:A wavelike groove 1 is provided on the surface of a piston 5 to slide in the cylinder 6, a pin 3 to be inserted into the groove 1 through the cylinder 6 is arranged at the symmetrical position. And then a ship-shaped block 2 to slide in the groove with minimized resistance is arranged at the end of the pin 3. A gear shaft 4 is fitted through its bottom at the center of the piston 5, a flywheel 8 is fixed at other end of the shaft 4. That is, when the piston 5 reciprocate in the cylinder 6, the piston is rotated by the ship-shaped block 2 fitted in the groove 1, the torque is transmitted to the fly-wheel 8 through the shaft 4. |
