<p>PURPOSE:To simplify a circuit constitution by using the output signal of a discriminating means for shifting a control object track for the purpose of the detection of a track pitch to the decision for carrying a device at the carrying speed of a recording medium corresponding to the track pitch. CONSTITUTION:A means for detecting the tracking error of reproducing heads HA, HB based on a pilot signal reproduced from the track, the discriminating means 13 for discriminating whether the tracking error is present within the prescribed range or not, a means for shifting the control object track based on the output of the discriminating means 13, and a means for switching the carrying speed of the recording medium based on the output of the discriminating means are provided. Thereby, in a device in which the carrying speed of the recording medium is switched and the control object track is switched correspondingly to the recording track pitch, the circuit constitution can be simplified.</p> |
