PURPOSE:To discharge drain in a batch manner by providing a first water-receiving tray to collect the drainage from the indoor heat exchanger, a second water-receiving tray to collect the drainage from the outdoor heat exchanger, and a third water- receiving tray which is positioned under the low-pressure piping of the compressor and collecting the drainage from the first and second trays. CONSTITUTION:During cooling operation, the drainage produced at the indoor heat exchanger 8 is conveyed from a first water-receiving tray 9, through a first drain hose 17, to a third water-receiving tray 12; while the dew formed at the piping 13 on the low-pressure side of the compressor 5 is allowed to drop onto a third water- receiving tray 12 provided under the piping 13 and discharged out of the equipment through a drain hole 12A. During heating, the drained water produced at the outdoor heat exchanger 10 is conveyed from a second water-receiving tray 11, through a second drain hose 14, to a third water receiving tray 12; while the dew formed at the piping 13 on the low-pressure side of the compressor or the ice which melts and comes off the pipping 13 at the time of deciding is allowed to drop onto a third water-receiving tray 12 without dropping onto the base plate 1 or being collected therein and discharged out of the equipment through a drain hole 12A. |
