PURPOSE:To wipe off dirt and dust sticking on an objective lens each time when a disc is reproduced, by driving a cleaning arm in relation to the carrying-in operation of the disc due to a tray and cleaning the objective lens with a brush attached to the arm. CONSTITUTION:When a disc D is placed on a tray 2 and the play operation is performed, the tray 2 is moved in the direction of an arrow A to carry the disc D into a device. Since a front end part 2A of the tray 2 presses downward a pin 5A provided in the other end of a cleaning arm 5 then, the cleaning arm 5 starts turning around a shaft P1 and is moved while being suspended by a wire 8. A brush 6 attached to the other end of the cleaning arm 5 is moved to rub an objective lens L of an optical head P in accordance with this movement to sweep off dirt, dust, or the like remaining on the surface of the objective lens L. |
