<p>PURPOSE:To obtain the subject composition excellent in jet stability in ink jet printers and the water and rub-off resistances of the resultant recorded images, comprising water, a colorant, water-soluble anionic polymer and water- soluble cationic polymer. CONSTITUTION:This ink composition comprises (A) water (pref. with purity higher than ion-exchanged water), (B) pref. 0.1-10wt.%, based on the final composition, of a colorant, (C) a water-soluble anionic polymer (e.g. polyacrylic acid, styrene-acrylic acid copolymer) and (D) a water-soluble cationic polymer (e.g. polyaminesulfone, polyvinylamine). It is preferable that the pH value of this composition be brought to >=10 using ammonia or a volatile basic compound salt.</p> |
