PURPOSE:To reduce production of the physiological pain of a passenger when a brake command is outputted and improve a riding amenity. CONSTITUTION:An elevator device comprises a winder 3 comprising a drive sheave 4 round which a rope 6 having one end to suspend a car 7 therefrom and the other end to suspend a balancing weight 8 therefrom is run, and a brake means 17 to brake the drive sheave 4. The brake means 17 comprises a brake force energizing means 20 to energize a brake force on the rotation member of the winder 3, and a brake force releasing means 19 to change an energizing force through release of the drive force energizing means 20. A control means 14 to control the brake means 17 is provided with a brake force setting means 24 to store the preset constant of an elevator system and input the brake distance (a car position) (h) during the occurrence of a brake command to output a brake force command value 25; and a brake force control means 26 to control the brake force releasing means 19 according to the brake force command value 25. |
