EXTERNAL PARTS FOR TIMEPIECE AND THEIR JOINING METHOD

PURPOSE:To uniformly weld the external parts for timepieces without biasing and deforming even if these parts are joined by welding using a laser beam. CONSTITUTION:A bezel 12 and case 13 to be joined are set on a jig and the approximately opposite two points of the joint of the lower part 12a and rear surface 13a of projecting part to be joined of these two parts are simultaneously irradiated with the laser beam to form temporally joint parts 14, 14 for tentative stopping. As a result, the two parts are temporally joined to the state free from biasing with each other and deforming and thereafter, the joint parts are irradiated with the laser beam again, by which the normal joint part 15 is formed over the entire circumference. The uniform weld which has excellent appearance quality and with which waterproofness is maintained is thus obtd.
