PURPOSE:To provide a methos for blazing a honeycomb body for a metal carrier having excellent joint strength. CONSTITUTION:First, a metal flat plate 1a and a corrugate plate 1b are alternately laminated. Or, prior to winding, a blazing material 2 having a smaller particle size is applied with a bindere on the peaks of the corrugate plate. Then the flat plate 1a and the corrugate plate 1b are altenately laminated and wound to form a honeycomb body 1. Then a blazing material 3 having larger particle size than the blazing agent 2 is deposited onto the binder part. The body is heat treated to blaze the flat plate 1a and the corrugate plate 1b. |
