<p>PURPOSE:To provide a cell separator enabling stable high-density culture for a long period of time without filter cloggings. CONSTITUTION:The objective cell separator, which is installed out of a culture tank and independently thereof, is equipped with (A) a tank to hold culture fluid and cells and (B) a rotatable filter with its cross-section of closed design, having meshes 1 to 5 times the size of a carrier in the case cells to be cultured or such carrier is used. As the meshes are larger than the size of cells, cloggings do not occur. Rotation of the filter makes apparent meshes smaller, resulting in adequate separatory efficiency for cells. With this separator, stable cell separation can be continued for one month or longer.</p> |
