<p>PURPOSE:To keep sudden tension from being generated in transfer material so as to prevent the transfer material from being dislocated and also from the generation of image slippage, image omission and wrinkles. CONSTITUTION:With an electromagnetic clutch 45 on, the torque of a main motor is transmitted to a shaft 42 through a double gear 49 and a high speed gear 46. The drive roller 41a of a carrier roller is thereby rotated faster than the peripheral speed of a photosensitive drum 13, so that transfer material P is looped. With the electromagnetic clutch 45 off, the torque of the main motor is transmitted to the shaft 42 through the double gear 49 and a low speed gear 47. The drive roller 41a of the carrier roller is thereby rotated slower than the peripheral speed of the photosensitive drum 13. The loop formed at the transfer material P is thereby decreased gradually to disappear in the end. The drive roller 41a is then separated from a drive source by the action of a one-way clutch 48 so as to be rotated following the photoreceptor drum 13 while generating tension to the transfer material P.</p> |
