PURPOSE:To obtain the flexible inorganic material improved in strength and flexibility by dispersing many thin and long crushed stones in a mixture comprising cement powder, water and a rubber latex, and subsequently integrally curing the dispersion. CONSTITUTION:100 pts.wt. of the powder of a cement such as Portland cement is added to and homogeneously mixed with a mixture of 30-100 pts.wt. of water and 5-50 pts.wt. of a rubber latex such as an acrylate latex having a concentration of 30-60wt.%. 50-450 pts.wt. of crushed stones produced by grinding rock, having a hardness of >=3 and having a thin long shape with a diameter of 0.1-2 mm and a major axis/length of >=1/1.5 is added to and homogeneously dispersed in the mixture. The dispersion is cast in a mold under non-pressure or under a pressure, and left at room temperature or aged at an elevated temperature. The molded and cured product is demolded from the mold to provide the objective flexible inorganic material excellent in strength. |
