摘要 <p>A diesel engine shut-off system comprises a pressure sensing tube (11), the end of which is immersed in lubricating oil (OL) in an oil sump (3), a vacuum control element (21), which is actuatable in response to a vacuum, which develops in a crankcase (4) and acts by way of the pressure sensing tube (11) when the end of the pressure sensing tube (11) is exposed by the lubricating oil due to a reduced lubricating oil level (LL), and a transmission mechanism (30), actuatable by the vacuum control element (21), for the positive opening of an outlet valve (44) for shutting off a diesel engine (2). The transmission mechanism (30) comprises a compression reducer pin (31), which is normally preloaded by a spring (32) so that it rotates in an opening direction of the outlet valve (44), a compression reducer lever (33) for turning the compression reducer pin (31) and a stopper (34) for arresting the compression reducer lever (33), in order to hold the compression reducer pin (31) in a stand-by position against the preloading of the spring (32). When the stopper (34) is actuated by the vacuum control element (21), the compression reducer lever (33) is released by the stopper (34) in order to permit a rotation of the compression reducer pin (31) under the preloading of the spring (32) for opening of the outlet valve (44).
