PURPOSE:To produce highly pure glucose and highly pure maltose by dissolving and saccharifying starch, purifying the produced aqueous solution of starch saccharide, and subsequently subjecting the purified aqueous solution to a chromatographic separation treatment. CONSTITUTION:Starch is dissolved and saccharified to produce astarch saccharide aqueous solution containing glucose and maltose as main components and further containing maltotriose and oligo saccharides having higher mol.wts. than that of the maltotriose. The aqueous solution of starch saccharide is subjected to purification step such as filtration, desalting treatment, and softening treatment and subsequently to a chromatographic separation treatment to separate the starch saccharide solution into at least three fractions comprising a highly pure glucose fraction, a highly pure maltose fraction and an oligo saccharide fraction. |
