<p>PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as an antitumor agent. CONSTITUTION:This compound is expressed by formula I [R<1> is OH or amino; R<2> is H, amino or methyl; X is bivalent linear group composed of 1-4 carbon atoms and may have a substituent group; Y is phenylene, thiendiyl, furandiyl, thiazoldiyl, etc.], e.g. 4-[3-(2,4-diamino-6,7-dihydrocyclopenta[d]pyrimidin-5-ylidene) propyl]benzoic acid. The compound expressed by formula I is obtained by condensing a compound expressed by formula II or a reactive derivative at the carboxyl group thereof with a compound expressed by formula III (R<3> and R<4> are carboxyl-protecting group), providing a carboxylic acid ester derivative expressed by formula IV and then hydrolyzing the resultant compound in the presence of an alkali.</p> |
