<p>PURPOSE:To enable the setting position of an electric motor to be freely determined, and further enable various types of vehicles requiring different setting conditions to be coped with by linking the electric motor to its output pinion via a flexible shaft. CONSTITUTION:An output pinion 6 and an electric motor M are linked to.each other via a flexible shaft 9, and mounting faces 12 and 13 with mounting holes 10 and 11 are formed along the sides of a gear casing C. Consequently, the electric motor M can be set at an arbitrary angle with a rack shaft by freely bending the shaft 9. Also, the electric motor M can be fixed to the mounting face 12 or 13 of the casing C by bending the shaft 9 at right angles. According to this construction, the setting position of the motor M can be freely determined, thereby coping with various types of vehicles requiring different setting conditions.</p> |
