PURPOSE:To simplify the construction of a writing implement which stores a valve ball for preventing backward flow into the valve chamber, while the writing implement is manufactured easily without causing any trouble. CONSTITUTION:A forward cylinder 14 including a valve chamber 31 at a point midway in an ink flow passage is formed integrally of synthetic resins. A water- insoluble lubricating material such as oleic acid amide or stearic acid amide is attached to the surface of a valve ball 22 and thereafter the valve ball 22 is forced into the valve chamber 31 from the inner side of a protruding strip 30 to confine it in the valve chamber 31. |
