PURPOSE:To obtain a stabilized resin composition which does not cause initial coloration in molding, is nontoxic and highly safe and does undergo lowering in the softening temperature when a plasticizer or the like is added thereto by mixing a composition comprising a chlorinated resin and in impact modifier with a dioctyltin maleate polymer, organotin mercaptide and a phenolic antioxidant. CONSTITUTION:This resin composition is obtained by mixing a composition comprising 100 pts.wt. chlorinated resin (e.g. vinyl chloride resin) and 1-20wt.% impact modifier (e.g. acrylonitrile/butadiene/styrene copolymer resin) with additives comprising 0.1-3 pts.wt. dioctyltin maleate polymer of the formula: [C8H17)2SnOOCCH=CHCOO]n (wherein (n) is 2-4), 0.1-3 pts.wt. organotin mercaptide [e.g. dimethyltin bis-(isooctylmercaptoacetate)] and 0.01-1.5 pts.wt. phenolic antioxidant in which a butyl group is bonded to only one of the carbon atoms adjoining to the carbon atom to which the hydroxyl group is bonded (e.g. butylhydroxyanisole). |
