PURPOSE:To prevent the wear in a metal zone and to improve durability by adding oxidizing agents, such as V2O5, to the lining material for the tapping spout of a blast furnace contg. SiC as refractory aggregate. CONSTITUTION:At least one kind of the oxidizing agents, such as V2O5 and Mn2O3, are added to the lining material of the tapping spout of the blast furnace contg. the SiC as at least a part of the refractory aggregate. These oxidizing agents supply O in a low oxygen partial pressure area to suppress the formation of SiO and to form an SiO2 film, thereby suppressing gaseous phase cracking of the SiC. As a result, the lining material which wears less in the metal zone and has the excellent durability is obtd. |
