<p>PURPOSE:To fit a horn switch to a steering wheel provided with an air bag. CONSTITUTION:The upper side of a gas generator 33 fitted to the boss part 12 of a steering wheel main body 11 is covered with a retainer plate. The upper face of the retainer plate is set as a fixed contact part 44. A horn plate 61 is elastically supported with the upper side of the fixed contact part 44 through spring bodies 66. An air bag 75 is folded up and received on the upper side of the horn plate 61. The upper side of the air bag 75 is covered with a cover body 81. When the cover body 81 is pressed, the horn plate 61 is pressed with the air bag 75, the horn plate 61 is contacted with the fixed contact part 44 and conducted to each other, and hence a horn mechanism is actuated. Thereby, development of the air bag 75 and the cover body 81 is not influenced from a horn switch mechanism 41. The cover body 81 can be easily manufactured.</p> |
