PURPOSE:To obtain a new compound useful as a therapeutic agent for circulatory diseases such as hypertension, cardiac disease, nephritis and arteriosclerosis, a treating agent for Alzheimer's disease and geriatric dementia, an improver for cerebral function, etc. CONSTITUTION:A compound of formula I [R<1> is (substituted)hydrocarbon group or (substituted)acyl; R<2> is 5- to 7-membered heterocyclic residue; Q is CH or N; X is directly bonded to ring Y and ring W through <=2 atomic chain; (n) is 1 or 2; ring A is (substituted)5- to 8-membered cyclic group] such as ethyl-2-[N-propyl-N-[2'-(2,5-dihydro-5-oxo-1,2,4-oxadiazol-3yl)bipheny l-4- yl]methyl]aminopyrrolidine-3-carboxylate. The compound of formula I is obtained by alkylating a compound of formula II with an alkylating agent of formula III (L is halogen or substituted sulfonic ester) in the presence of a base. |
