PURPOSE: To provide an ink jet printhead capable of selecting text printing and continuous gradation printing. CONSTITUTION: The resolving power printing of high quality of a text (text type) image is achieved by ejecting an ink liquid drop by using either one of large and small nozzles, pref., by using both nozzles in a constant combination. Two lines of pixels 35, 36 slightly overlapped with each other printed by ink liquid drops from the large and small nozzles are shown and an arrow 11 shows the reciprocating direction of a printhead. The influence of scalloping along an outside edge is reduced along the pixel 36. |
