PURPOSE:To depress the generation of sudden air pressure rise and high sound pressure state in a car by providing a means for shifting timing between an air bag for head-on collision and an air bag for side collision in inflating both the air bag for head-on collision and the air bag for side collision in oblique collision. CONSTITUTION:On a floor a collision G sensor 18 for detecting vehicular head-on collision, using acceleration in the back and forth direction of a car, vehicular side collision, using acceleration in the right and left direction, and oblique direction, using acceleration simultaneously applied from the back and forth direction and the right and left direction, an air bag 12 for head-on collision for driver's seat, an air bag 16 for head-on collision for assistant driver's seat, an air bag 14 for side collision for driver's seat, and an air bag control device 19 for implementing control in such a way that inflation timing between an air bag 14 for side collision for driver's seat and a collision air bag for assistant driver's seat may be shifted, are provided the firing timing of an inflator is lagged so that delayed inflation may be provided to the air bags 12, 16 for head-on collision compared to the air bag 14 for collision even if the collision G sensor 18 almost simultaneously detects horizontal load and vertical load in oblique collision. |
