Filterable water is pushed to the bottom of a filter bed through perforated tubes or inlet channels turned upwards and downwards in the filter chambers, and is drawn over the bed via an outlet arrangement provided with a flow meter and flow regulator. The rinsing carriage is connected to the tubes or channels, and rinsing water from a reversible pump mounted on the carriage is pressed into a distribution box on the carriage. Via connections, the water is transferred to the tubes or channels, and when the space above the bed is filled with rinsing waste water, a raisable and lowerable waste pump on the carriage is lowered into the bed to empty it. The pump passes the waste water to an outlet channel, and a blower machine blows air through the tubes or channels, or through a separate perforated air pipe system.
|
