The present invention relates to suspension (1) with a torsion bar (20) for a wheel (R) of a motor vehicle. This suspension, which is of the type including a swinging arm (10) on which the wheel is mounted, at least one torsion bar (20), one end of which is rotationally secured to the said arm, while the other end is secured to the body of the vehicle, as well as a filtering device interposed between the torsion bar and the body, is characterised in that the device includes first filtering means (30) capable of holding the bar (20), and second filtering means (40) making it possible to immobilise the said bar in rotation relative to the body. This invention may, for example, apply to a trailing arm suspension for a motor vehicle rear wheel. <IMAGE>
